Real moments, beautifully told.

You’re not after stiff poses or a rigid checklist of shots (neither am I). You want to look back and feel it all over again: the nerves, the laughter, the quiet look across the room.

That’s what I’m here for. During the candid moments, I disappear into your day, so everything unfolds naturally. For your portraits, I step in with a gentle nudge here and a small direction there, bringing out something that feels effortless because that’s how it should be.

Expect great light, considered composition and plenty of laughs. No awkward poses, nothing that will make you cringe thirty years from now. Just images that put you right back in the moment (and have you crying all over again).

My approach to your photos

  • Before your wedding, I scout your venue, in person when possible, or through photos, maps and a video walk-through when not. I look at the light, the architecture, the surrounding grounds and the quiet spots, then choose where your portraits and group shots will look their best. That way, on the day, we’re not guessing. We simply walk to the right spot at the right time.

  • I arrive with a few easy, natural pose ideas, so you’re never left wondering what to do with your hands. Nothing complicated, just simple ideas that suit you both.

  • I introduce myself to your guests early, say hello, chat and break the ice. By the time the camera comes up, everyone is comfortable, and relaxed guests give you real smiles.

Your photographs hold the big moments: the first look, the vows, the kiss. My videos hold everything else, the moments that bring it all together.

I film in the gaps between photography, so the key moments stay with the stills where they belong. What the film catches is the vibe of your day: the getting ready, laughs between guests, a hand squeezed when no one is looking, your dad wiping away a tear, fun on the dance floor, the chaos and the joy.

Side by side, they give you the whole story. You get the images you’ll frame, and a film providing the moments between moments, that brings the whole day back to life.

Behind the Lens

Hey there,

I'm Ludgero. Portuguese-born, Australian-raised, now living in France with my wife, our eight-year-old son, and Marcel our French Bulldog.

I've shot weddings all over France - from centuries-old châteaux, to sun-drenched vineyards, to private homes where grandmother's recipe is still on the kitchen table, to glamping fields where fairy lights do the heavy lifting. Every single setting different. Every single couple unforgettable. Château or glamping, vineyard or back garden - I show up the same way every time. All in, and honestly still pinching myself that this is my life.
